In the case of a standard siding replacement project, we are typically asked to install industry standard 7/16″ osb. Plywood is typically a better option and is offered as a optional upgrade. Please note that pressure treated plywood or osb is sometimes required on the bottom couple feet of your sheathing due to proximity to moisture. This often involves touching concrete.
